On Tuesday 24 March 2026, the Queensland Labour Hire Compliance Unit (LHLCU) successfully prosecuted an unlicensed labour hire provider for breaches under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (Qld) (LHL Act) at the Chinchilla Magistrates Court.

On 30 October 2025, the Queensland Labour Hire Licencing Compliance Unit successfully prosecuted an unlicensed labour hire provider for breaches of the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (the LHL Act) at the Mount Isa Magistrates Court. The court imposed a substantial fine of $240,000 on the security company and $80,000 on the director of the company having been found guilty on 13 charges across two areas of Queensland.

An unlicensed labour hire provider has pled guilty to charges brought by the Queensland Labour Hire Licensing Compliance Unit (LHLCU) of illegally supplying workers to pick and pack produce at two farms in the Mareeba region.

An unlicensed sole trader has been successfully prosecuted by the Queensland Labour Hire Licensing Compliance Unit (LHLCU) in the Mareeba Magistrates Court for breaches of the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (Qld) (LHL Act).
